NailDesigns

Helloooo

I know post are coming along very slowly and I'm sorry.

I haven't been doing my nails much lately as they keep breaking and I didn't want to always use fake nails lol
I painted my nails with a white polish before I added any colour on as I find it brings out the colour more.

I recently made several purchases at Fragrance Direct and managed to get some polishes for 49p. BARGAIN! lol but I never managed to used any so I decided to use Manhattan Rock Topia (3) which is the Apricot colour.

I only needed to put on 1 coat of the colour and the colour shone through. I didn't really like the colour when it arrived but once I had it on I fell in love with it as its such a summery and fun colour.

I didn't know what to do as I never plan my nail art designs but I was determined to use these:

Yep! Ring reinforcements. LOL
I've seen many people use these in their tutorials and wanted to try using them in my nail art.
The following are basic tutorials on how to do these designs.

 Aztec inspired nail

1. Cut a ring reinforcement in half making sure you cut away the middle circle.
2. Paint on your chosen colour (I picked yellow). It doesn't matter if you paint onto the ring reinforcement as it will be peeled away.
3. Peel the ring reinforcement off once the polish is dry and using nail varnish clean away any excess polish on your skin.

I painted on a white angle to separate the orange and yellow to make it stand out more. I also added black gems to the center of the yellow section to give it a nice texture.

Feathers:
1. Draw a line diagonally. This will be the center of the feather.
2. Starting from the bottom draw lines coming off the center outwards; make sure that the size of the flicks get smaller as you reach the tip of the feather.
-Optional-
3. Do the same on a corner to show that there are other feathers
4. Using a lighter colour repeat steps 1 and 2 on top of your first feather but leaving wider gaps between the flicks to make it look as if it has texture.
----------

I have to admit that I hate birds. LOL but I love this simple and easy feather design.
The first time I ever saw this design was on Instagram (nailsbylins) and I just fell in love with it but I will NEVER come to like birds.

Sapporo Ichiban Catford

Hey!

Sorry haven't been blogging much but its been so much easier to just tweet xD

Anyways..

Yesterday I went on a dinner date with my cousin and sister Sapporo Ichiban in Catford, London.
I have heard so much about this place but never ventured there.

As you walk through the first set of glass doors you get greeted by a small fish pond and then another set of glass doors. We were greeted by the hostess in a very polite manner, she then showed us to our table very quickly.
The area in which we sat at had a fun atmosphere as the tables had a whole on the ground so you was sitting on the floor

We sat down at our table and went through the drinks menu as she brought us the buffet menu to order from. This buffet is an order to make buffet so the food is as fresh as it can be as other buffets leave their food out for who knows how long.
The seating area had a homey feel with cushions on the floor, a lot of ornaments on the side and a japanese outfit hanging on the wall; it was so homey half way through the meal i took off my shoes and sat cross legged xD

So anyways..
Back to the food.

We ordered a Milk Ice tea Bubble Tea (£2.50), an Cream Iced Coffee Bubbe Tea (£2.50) and a Jasmin Tea (£1.20).
I had the Cream Iced Coffee Bubble tea I thought that it was ok but I did wish they added some ice to it but if they had I would've got less drink.

The buffet price was £12.90 per person (Mon-Fri). You can order up to 8 items maximum at a time and trust me you do NOT want to keep ordering 8 dishes as some dishes are huge and there is a wastage fee of £1 per sushi or £2 for any other dish.

On the buffet menu it tells you what you can order but not what it consists of so if you do come here I do suggest that you keep one of the main menus so you'll know.
The above picture shows the exact same salad but with different seafood. The top contained tuna flakes whilst the bottom contained seafood sticks. The salad was made up of a lot of celery, some carrots and some lettuce drenched in mayonnaise. It was fresh yet after eating it all you get stuff easily.

Carrying on with salads I ordered a pickled salad. To be honest I wasn't all that please with it as the radish were cut into square chunks and it wasn't spicy vinegary enough for me but thats just me! My mum makes this but she slices the radish and carrots thinly and adds a lot of fresh chillies. But you know what people,' No one can beat your mother's cooking'. LOL

We had two different Gyoza's a pork one and a vegetarian one as I'm not a big fan of pork.
If you was wondering what gyoza's are then the only way to explain them is that there like chinese dumplings.
Both plates of gyoza came with a vinegar sauce.

The reason we came here was for sushi and it did not fail us here..

The above picture shows the selection of sushis we had. They were nice but on the buffet menu didn't have alot of choices compared to the main menu but you can always add it on. We had a really strange one and didn't expect it to be nice but to our surprise it was. I can't remember the name but it had papaya, melon and avocado.

The main dishes were huge! I never expected my Yaki Soba to be on a big plate and so it took me ages to finish MOST of it. The noodles weren't very greasy and it contained a lot of vegetables; where normally you get big chunks of onions, you get big chunks of Pak choi. We also a chicken Katsu. The Katsu came out on a plate with lettuce underneath but it didn't have any sauce. The chicken was tender and moist in the middle but because there was no sauce the batter was very dry and it was hard to eat especially when they give you 2 pieces, one on top of another.

You all know the image above.. Yes it Aromatic Duck with Pancakes. There was a lot of duck compared to the vegetables! By this time we were so stuffed and couldn't eat anymore but we didn't wanna pay the wastage fee so forced it down our throats!
My cousin ordered a bowl of boiled rice thinking that there was going to be sauce on the katsu was finding inventive ways of eating the rice and here is one of them..

Ta Dah! An Aromatic duck and rice burrito! lol
But at least we didn't have to pay wastage fee as she did manage to finish the bowl of rice!

So would you be trying out a new restaurant? If so let me know how it goes.

Tayyabs WhiteChapel

Helllooooooo..!!

The other day I went out with my friend and her family to celebrate her birthday. She had booked a table at Tayyabs which serves Punjabi cuisine.
The location for this place was very random as it was in a secluded road away from other restaurants  we had to wait an extra 30 minutes even though the table was booked for 8pm! The restaurant was so busy that there wasn't enough walking space for 2 people. LOL.

The menu contained  few dishes which would of made it easier to decide what you'd like but it was harder as it contained dishes but no description of what each dish contained so we decided to order a bit of everything to try. The waiter came over without the need of a pen and paper and repeated our order just from memory! It was fun to watch as he also sounded like the guy from the £1 fish song! xD

We had to bring in our own alcoholic drinks as they didn't serve alcohol but had to pay for coke even when we bought our own. The bottled water was FREE though so it wasn't bad.
Tayyabs own bottled water, Mango Lassi and Vodka&Cranberry Juice
As we waited we snacked on complimentary poppadoms. The sauces served with this was spicy mint sauce, mango chutney and red spicy sauce (sorry didn't know what it was), but within a 10 minutes our orders started pouring onto the table as both the starters and mains came out the same time! This was really filling as  it made you want to eat faster so you'll get fuller easily.
Chicken Tikka and mixed meat grill
In all the bill was good for the amount of people who went and we was all stuffed even though there was alot of food left! I would recommend visiting them but book in advance as you maybe waiting for over an hour just for a table without notice.
Visit www.tayyabs.co.uk for more information and pics!

Take care and let me know what you think

eBay Haul

Howdy!

I'm so happy today as my online purchases have been arriving since yesterday.

I am currently going through a phase of nail art so I made some cheap purchases through ebay as I feel that there is no point in paying out for expensive versions of my items as I change my nail designs every 3-4 days! lol.

So here it is:
Nail Gems
Every girl needs some sparkle in their life. I paid £1.49 for this set which comes in a clear plastic container and 2 sheets of nail transfers. You can stick them on anything!

Dotting Pens
My absolute love! These pens are used for nail designs and I only paid £1 for 5 double ended ones.

I was on Bank website last week and saw that there was an extra 20% off selected sale items and so I found myself purchasing a Pauls Boutique bag for £15! I am very pleased with it as its a good size for someone short like me. lol. I did have to try several times as it kept running out of stock! But now its here its all sm:)es.

I'm so happy with my purchases and the amount of time it took to deliver was very fast but most of all the amount of money I'm saving.

Anywho..

Take Care
